I’ve seen the coca-cola commercial in TV… and I think, they are sooo not creative (is it the ad agency’s fault?? or coca-cola indonesia itself??? I don’t know…)
You all have seen the commercial right? The one that shows Japanese eating sushi and then drink coca-cola, Italian eat bla bla bla and drink coca-cola, and on and on,and the last one is Indonesian eating padang food and then drink coca-cola….
They use the same big idea with “Teh Botol Sosro” commercial…. even though their tag line is diffrent but the big idea is similar…
We, Indonesian, are familiar with teh botol’s tagline which is “apapun makanannya, minumnya teh botol sosro” (or something like that…)
And now Coca-cola’s tv commercial is using that idea… only the difference is that Coca-cola emphasizing the “people from around the world drink coca-cola” factor… Maybe they try to beat Teh Botol by showing that Coca-cola is the most popular drink in other countries and it is the most famous global brand… But hey, it’s Indonesia… Teh Botol is bigger than coca-cola in here…
For Coca-cola Indonesia:
Next time, please be creative on selecting the theme for your advertising campaign… and don’t steal your competitor’s idea… don’t you know that plagiarism is not good??
